Snobootz are an alternative traction device to Go Claws

Go Claws was the inspiration for Snobootz. Snowbootz were created to overcome the shortcomings of Go Claws. Snow Boots traction devices can be used on cars with tight clearances between the strut and the tire or if there is tight clearance beween the fender and the tyre. Snobootz are good substitute for BMW snow chains and Mercedez Tyre chains. Go Claws cannot be used on front wheel drive cars because the thick mounting straps would hit the spring or the strut or, the Go Claws would sometimes hit the tie rod end.

These experts have years of specific experience and can critically evaluate tire chains from various points of views. With more and more 4X4 SUVs on the road, some people think they don't need chains or snow tires anymore, but most state laws require snow tires for 4 wheel drive vehicles, and many also require 4 wheel drive vehicles to at least carry additional traction devices in case of severe icy weather conditions. Tire chain reviews give an idea of how a particular tire chain works in different vehicles and in various adverse conditions. Most drivers share their experiences of using a particular type or brand of tire chains. Most states have requirements about what kinds of tires or traction devices are needed on highways during winter storms and icy and snowy conditions. Different tire chains have varied pros and cons. You need to know the size of your tires when buying chains - look for it printed on the sidewall of your tires. Use of tire chains helps in traction of wheels and prevents vehicles from skidding.

Fitment Guide

Before You Buy

Step 1: See if we have a size to fit your tire

Snobootz are designed to fit a specific tire size, but due to the variation allowed by the hook-and-loop attachment, most sizes will fit several different tires. Snobootz are a new product, so we don’t have sizes to fit all the tires out there. We’ve identified the most popular sizes and we’re making those first. If we don’t have a size to fit your tire, don’t despair. By completing the form, you’re casting your vote to have that size developed next year. We’ll be developing new sizes continually, so check back later if you don’t see your size now. Click here to see if we have a size to fit your tire.

Step 2: See if you have enough clearance to install Snobootz

If we have a size that fits your tire, you’ll need to confirm that you have enough clearance between the edge of the tire and the wheelwell to install Snobootz. On many sports cars and cars with lowered suspension, there’s not enough room above the tire to get your hands in there to install Snobootz. The photo below shows this situation. If you can’t get your hands in above the tire and touch the sidewall on the inside, then you probably don’t have enough room to fit Snobootz.
